I recently had the pleasure of photographing Rhylee and Hank Uleman with their beautiful family of four on their treasured third-generation farmstead. From the moment I arrived, it was clear this family had something special—a warmth and kindness that made me feel right at home. Their love for one another shone through in every moment, making this session truly unforgettable.
The farmstead itself was the perfect backdrop, rich with history and memories. Rhylee and Hank shared the incredible story of their family’s connection to the home, which has been in their family since 1935. It was awe-inspiring to think about the generations that had come before them, and how they’re now creating their own legacy in the same space. Every detail, from the house itself to the surrounding land, seemed to hold a piece of their family’s story.
What stood out most during our time together was the undeniable bond between this little family; it made candid family photography so seamless. Rhylee and Hank’s love for each other and their kids was so genuine, it practically radiated. The kiddos brought so much joy and energy to the session, and capturing their laughter and playful moments was a highlight for me. These candid interactions were a beautiful reminder of what family is all about—connection, warmth, and shared love. Photographing families like these in Omaha brings me such joy.
This session wasn’t just about taking photos; it was about telling a story. The combination of a family’s love, the beauty of a historic farmstead, and the legacy of generations past made this experience so meaningful. It’s moments like these that remind me why I’m so passionate about photography—preserving cherished memories and the emotions tied to them.
I’m incredibly grateful to Rhylee and Hank for inviting me into their world and letting me document these special moments. Photographing a family in a place so rich with personal history was a privilege, and it’s a session I’ll remember for years to come.
